Policy

What is the age requirement for getting a tattoo?

We can tattoo minors age 16+ with a parent present and the proper identification (birth certificate with both names as well as photo IDs for child and parent – these are required for anything we do on a minor).

Are tattoos painful?

It is true that tattoos are generally painful. After all, we are using needles to permanently insert pigments into the skin. Although, the level of pain does vary from person to person, and depending on the placement of the tattoo, certain areas of the body tend to be more sensitive than others.

Pricing

What is your shop minimum for tattoos?

Minimums depend on the artist you choose to work with. Please refer to the individual artist’s pricing section.

Do you require a deposit?

A deposit is necessary to secure your appointment – Deposit depends on the artist you will be working with. Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit serves to reserve all your booking dates and will be applied to the final tattoo session if the project requires multiple sessions. If it is a single session, it will be applied to that instead.

When is payment due?

Payments are due immediately at the end of each session. We accept cash and cards as our only payment methods. For card payments, a 3% service fee will be added to the total payment. Cash payments do not have any additional charge.

Appointments

Should I walk in or book an appointment?

We recommend booking an appointment online. If you’re not willing to wait to get in the books – we can book you in for your preferred artists nearest day off, the cost of the session in this case will be double their normal rate.

How can I change the date of my appointment?

If you need to change the date of your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, you must let us know at least 7 days prior to the session so we can rearrange our schedules. A new deposit will be required to continue working together if you cancel or reschedule with less than 7 days’ notice. You can reschedule your appointment only once without losing your deposit.

What happens if I am late to my appointment?

If you are late, you must inform us via email or call the studio at (810)208-0886 If you are more than 15 minutes late without any notification, the session will be canceled without any refund.

What happens if I no-show for my appointment?

If you do not show up for the appointment – you lose your deposit and we will not be able to work together.

What should I wear for my appointment?

Make sure to wear comfortable clothing that helps with the tattooing process – if you’re getting a tattoo on your arm, a tank top or sleeveless t-shirt will be helpful – if you’re getting a tattoo on your leg – it’s better to wear shorts.

Do I need to shave before my appointment?

To keep the working space sanitary and hair-free, we ask you to shave the area that is going to be tattooed in the comfort of your home before coming to the studio, while taking care not to cut yourself. If you do not feel like doing it, we can do that for you and an additional $25 cleaning fee will be added to the cost of the session.

What are some things I may not think of before I come in?

  • Take a shower
  • Well-rested
  • Eat a meal beforehand to prevent low blood sugar issues
  • If you’re diabetic plan for a crash (and prepare yourself!)
  • Please do not drink alcohol for several days prior to your session – this may cause excessive bleeding during the session and cause an issue with the healing process.

Can I bring my kids to my appointment?

At this time we can permit only one guest per client to be present during appointments. Any visitor other than that will be asked to wait outside the building until the tattoo appointment has concluded.

Sessions are really long, do I need to bring lunch?

Please bring your own beverage, lunch and snacks. Tattoos are much less painful and your artist is able to work more proficiently when your body is nourished and fed. We have a refrigerator and a microwave free to use at any time.

Caring for a Tattoo

How long does it take to heal?

The majority of your new tattoos healing process will be done within the first two weeks. However, the skin is still working to heal and rejuvenate and you need to plan on a 4-6 weeks for your skin to be back to its previous state.

Why do tattoos start to itch while healing?

As the skin rejuvenates itself, usually about a week after the tattoo was done, the itch sets in. This is 100% normal. Good moisturizers will help immensely with this but DO NOT SCRATCH IT! If lotion isn’t helping, run it under cold water for a few moments and you should be itch free.
